This oil painting has been in the works for nearly three years and I’m so excited to finally share the completed version of it! I find oil paintings always take way longer than expected, mostly because of the time it takes for the layers of paint to dry. I would leave this piece for a few weeks to dry and then not pick it up again for several months.

I originally started this painting as a design for a Get Well Soon card. I’m not sure if it will ever end up as a card design, but for now I am very excited to finally have it finished, bringing my total number of completed oil paintings up to four.
